Hi, I’m Monica. I’m a passionate people leader with 15+ years experience in Human Resources (since no one calls it that – let’s say People Development), I have also worked in journalism and marketing.
More About Me
At the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, I received a B.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology – the study of human behavior in the workplace and a minor in Spanish. I have developed individuals, teams, and organizations in multiple sectors including education, nonprofits, government, professional services, and tech startups. I have also stayed active in the field by facilitating online panel discussions on various HR topics at Currnt, contributing to fresh knowledge networking online.
Throughout my career, I have found a common thread, and it’s simple: we’re all human. My insane curiosity on collaboration, culture, and people dynamics led me to travel the world to explore and learn more. I share my experiences in Forbes and my travel website called From Here To Sunday. Overall, I make the most impact on engagement, productivity, and performance to ultimately improve the bottom line.
